Folks have given us many wonderful gifts recently, and some of the cards they selected really stood out. Here are some of our favorites:
This one was hand-letterpressed, which added even more to the wonderful bizarreness of the message. Someone spent serious time setting and then producing this card. Given by our pals Kris and Martina, card from Oddball Press, number 129.
This card is from our friends Nicole and Rich. This isn’t a poor scan of it, either. It’s an out of focus baby (well, probably a doll) of indeterminate face and gender. Nutty. Nicole annotated it “HIM/HER?” The email address on the back of the card is idollatry@yahoo.com, so I guess there’s probably a more general doll meme at work there.
Finally, Kirsten’s brother Jason drew us a really funny illustration – the front is clearly him and his fiancée Kellee, Jase holding a bowling ball with a single tear running down his cheek. The inside panel explains his dilemma:
