I realize if I were a normal (sane) person I would do this communication sharing on Facebook or Instagram or some other social media. But while I am social, I do not have the medias. Also because I thought you might like to join us (virtually) on our EPIC trip to Singapore and Bali! [I’m now putting this on the blog and syndicating it to Facebook. You’re welcome -Ed.]
Step one: getting there. Singapore is a looooooong way away from MN. No seriously, like other side of the world far. It requires MANY hours in multiple planes and a mind bending number of time zone changes. Plus side: my Apple Watch gave me standing credits for 29 hours in a day!! Such skillz I have :).
We started in (Polar Vortex) Minnesota at 7:00 am on Wednesday, Dec 14th, then went to (not so cold) Seattle, WA where Mike’s elite status got us driven to our next gate in a special Delta car – fancy fancy. We then flew 11 hours to (still pretty brisk) Tokyo, got AJ some tasty miso and flew another 7.5 hours to (OMG its hot and steamy) Singapore where we landed at 1 am on Friday morning. It was A LOT of sitting (not a core skill of mine) answering the question “what time is it where we are now??” From a certain shorty, who was fortunately distracted by in flight movies and iPad time so as to avoid me having to murder him.
We arrived and immediately passed out at our hotel at 2 am, only to suddenly awaken in a completely not perky state a mere 5 hours later. Thank you for doing me that solid oh, circadian rhythm, I was really hoping to rock the dark circles look and you really came through for me.
What happened next? Did we see some sights and scare some natives with our sallow complexions?!?
And here are Jackson’s notes on the day:
When I woke up in the morning, I was so tired?? ??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our flight took off at 7.00 am. I watched 2 movies!!!!!!!!! When we got to Seattle, we went to the Delta sky club. My mom and I walked up and down the stairs. I didn’t want anything from the club to eat so, we went down stairs and I got chicken nuggets.
On the plane I watched 4 movies????????!!!!!!
The flight to Tokyo was long. In the airport my mom saw a shop that had really cute stuffed animal!?
On the plane ride I watched 2 more movies!!!!!!?????
In the airport in Singapore, I was pooped.????????? we landed at 1:00 am and got to bed at 2:00 am.?
[For those who aren’t counting, that’s eight movies plus Minecraft in one day. Pretty much the Holy Grail of screen time. -Ed.]
