Thanksgiving in Minneapolis!

So for Jackson’s first Thanksgiving we decided to shake things up (we usually don’t go anywhere for Thanksgiving since travel is a mess and in case you hadn’t noticed it’s on a Thursday which is not the most convenient day for a holiday what with the whole work thing and all) and go to Minneapolis. Also because we won’t be spending X-mas there as we’ll be flying back from our trip to India. Yes, yes we are going to India (not Mumbai) and yes yes we are perhaps on the insane side with travel, but if you know us, you already pretty much knew that.

Anyway, Thanksgiving was great fun. Jackson got to meet his Uncle Jason and Aunt Kellee as well as his many first cousin once removed and first cousin twice removed types who we are just calling ‘cousins’ to reduce confusion. He also got to meet his great aunt Kay and his great uncle Rick and his great great grandma Pearl. He was so well loved that there were in fact conversations about who had been holding the baby how long for which nite and whose turn it now was to hold the baby and unhand that baby before I hurt you and so on. Needless to say, he was not ignored. Mike and I may have felt a tad ignored, but we’ve come to accept this as our fate now that we have an adorable offspring, and we still pretty much look like boring old us.

If you would like to see the images of our trip – including the Jaglo family crafting emergency where Jackson’s new burp cloths (aka cloth diapers from Target) were hand painted to make them more in the style to which he is accustomed – check them out here in the album “Thanksgiving in Minneapolis”. The only caveat is that by posting this you must swear that I will *not* get a bunch of comments about how much I look like my mom. I swear I was adopted- any similarity to persons living or dead is entirely coincidental 😉
