First off: we do NOT know Graglo’s gender. I’m not lying to you and keeping secrets, we really don’t know. I’m at 14 weeks and 2 days so it’s too early to have such knowledge- they don’t tell you until 20 or so weeks when all can be revealed in an ultrasound. There ain’t no such thing as modesty when they blast you with sound waves and you’re chillin’ nekkid in the womb. We’re still planning on waiting until the kid pops out to know what flavor it will be, so you’re just going to have to wait with bated breath until Aug/Sept.
That being said, Graglo will have a room (the room formerly known as Mike’s computer room) and I can guarantee it WILL have colors in it. Since we rent we can’t paint it any exciting colors, but we can accessorize, which in Kirsten Speak means: we can pad the room with quilts!!! Double bonus: they’re soft so it doesn’t hurt as much when you walk into the wall due to sleep deprivation AND they come in such lovely colors.
What colors are we thinking? I was just in Tokyo for work, and I was able to pick up a woodblock print of a koi fish on rice paper. It’s really beautiful and we’re going to use that for inspiration in the room- Japanese fabrics and colors, so indigo blues, deep purples, greens and mustardy yellows. Them saturated but still slightly muted colors I like so much.
So yes Bruce, get off yer butt and make Graglo a lovely work of fabric art to spit-up all over. Nothing says love like baby barf!
