It’s happened. Time has passed and I have become old. Sigh… and sigh again, followed by a creaking back and a few gray hairs (HA got you there, I don’t have any gray hairs, or if I do, no one – including me – can see them, ’cause I’m blonde. Sha-zam on all you brunettes and redheads — now who’s the dumb blonde?!?) Ahem.
So I was a-sayin’ that I am no longer as young as I once was, to the point that it’s been 20 years since I graduated from South High School — with honors. Yep, just had to throw that in there. Did I also mention that I also lettered four times and was the co-captain of my swim team and the treasurer of National Honor Society and like, I swear that cute guy in my 4th hour class like totally thought I was cute??!?! Oh, it’s true.
I missed the 10-year reunion, so I really wanted to make the 20th. Mike was kind/crazy enough to agree to go with me, so we had a weekend in Minneapolis where we saw my old friends and some of my old not-so-much friends who seem much cooler now and — added bonus — my high school boyfriend Scott and my prom date Leif. Leif is now a travel writer for Lonely Planet and is still super cool. Scott, too, remains the same.
While Mike and I had reunion fun, AJ had family fun galore! Photos from this fun-filled weekend can be found here: Kirsten’s 20th HS reunion
